Marlborough – Garey R. Preston, 72, of Marlborough, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at Marlborough Hospital. Born in Lincoln, Maine, he was the son of the late Owen Bickford and Norma (Matthews) Preston and the husband of Lucille (LeBlanc) Preston of Marlborough.
He had been employed as a truck driver, working for various moving companies, including P.E. Burke United Moving Lines.
He had been an active member of Greater Grace Christian Fellowship in Marlborough since 1992. He served as a prayer leader, supported the outreach program for many years, always with a smile on his face and a welcoming manner. He also founded and hosted weekly men’s bible studies at his home.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Brian Bickford Preston of Hampton, N.H., Karen Preston of Baltimore, Md., Jaime Costigan and her husband Daniel of Marlborough, and Mandy Clinker and her husband Conor of Coventry, R.I. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Robert Bickford Preston and Elizabeth Preston, Mikayla Costigan and Rachel Costigan, and Cassius Clinker.
His memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan., at 2 p.m., at Greater Grace Christian Fellowship, 187 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
