Hudson – Richard E. Morin, 76, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017. He was born in Laconia, N.H., the son of the late Ernest E. and Marie D. (Denig) Morin, and had lived in Hudson the past 50 years.

He leaves his loving wife of 53 years, Marilyn M. (Magnant) Morin; four children, Richard F. Morin and his wife Maria of Wilmington, Valerie A. Morin and her fiancé Duncan Gillies of Paxton, Steven J. Morin and his wife Rebecca of Arvada, Colo., and Denise E. Morin of Cheshire; three grandchildren, Meghan Cardimino, Christopher Cardimino, and Alyssa Morin; and nieces and nephews.

Richard was an engineer and instructor with New England Telephone for over 30 years before his retirement. He was member of St. Michael’s Church, and also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Richard enjoyed woodworking, stamp and coin collecting, fishing, and camping, and he enjoyed traveling with his wife to many different countries. He was a former Boy Scout Leader and also a ham radio operator.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Jan. 20, from 4-7 p.m., in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Funeral services for Richard will be held from the funeral home Saturday, Jan. 21, with a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow at Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
