Region – NAL’S Paint Center of Worcester and Auburn recently announced its acquisition of Economy Paint Supply of Leominster, Worcester and Shrewsbury.
Locally owned and family-operated, NAL’S Paint Center has been a staple of the Greater Worcester paint and decorating community for more than 40 years. Founded in 1973 by Natale “Nal” Santora and his wife Mary, NAL’S is now owned and operated by Nal’s son David Santora and his wife Jeanne.
In addition to its Brook Street headquarters in Worcester, last year NAL’s opened a second retail store located inside Kitchens and Floors Today on Southbridge Street in Auburn. Like NAL’S, Economy Paint Supply – founded by Hyman, Ralph and Phil Epstein in 1938 – sells high-quality Benjamin Moore paints and a large selection of wall coverings and window treatments.
NAL’S reputation for providing expert knowledge has proven to be a major factor in the successful growth and expansion of a family business competing against national chain stores.
“We’ve built our reputation by taking care of our customers and selling superior products. We live in the communities we serve, and we want people to know that we care about them and their projects. We are excited to expand into the towns of Shrewsbury and Leominster, and expect the acquisition of Economy Paint to be an easy task,” said David, a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury. “The business and customer service philosophies of the Santora and Epstein families are very similar: provide expert advice, first-class service, and superior product knowledge.”
