Marlborough – The Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC) hosted its monthly “Women at Lunch” Feb. 15 at the Rail Trail Flatbread restaurant in Hudson. Nearly 30 local businesswomen from the region enjoyed fare from the restaurant and a chance to network in a small, intimate setting.
The luncheon sponsor was Christopher Heights of Marlborough. Stephanie Nordstrom, the director of marketing and admissions, spoke for a few moments about Christopher Heights, an independent housing facility where one can receive services, she said. It is more of a “housing and social model” as opposed to a nursing home model.
“It’s great for social interaction and for people who need help with home-cooked meals, medicine reminders and things like that,” she said. “It gives the person and their family peace of mind.”
Each month the MRCC “Women at Lunch” is held at a different area restaurant which gives the restaurant exposure and allows the attendees to try different establishments while also having the opportunity to network with other businesswomen.
The next event will be held at the 110 Grill, 60 Highland Common East, Berlin, on Wednesday, March 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To register or for more information on all MRCC events, visit marlboroughchamber.org.
