Marlborough – Dr. Shiow-Shong Yang, 76, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Fei-O of Marlborough. He is also survived by children Steve Yang of Marlborough and Timothy Yang and his wife Tracey, and grandson Leonard of Holden.
Dr. Yang was born in Taipei, Tawain. He became a U.S. citizen and earned his PhD from the University of Georgia in biochemistry.
He had previously worked at CPC, Henkel and Sepracor as a research scientist prior to retirement. He was an avid reader who enjoyed walks around town and spending time with his grandson.
Funeral services were private.
