Northborough – Carl R. Kasierski Jr., 81, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 19, 2017, surrounded by his devoted family. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Ann (Wigglesworth) Kasierski.

He also leaves his five children, Carl Kasierski and his wife Patricia of Charlton, Donna McDonald and her husband Danny of Northborough, Doreen Rondeau and her husband Omer of Northborough, Michael Kasierski of New York, and Robert Kasierski and his wife Terry of Rutland. He was a loving, devoted grandfather to Jason, Jillian, Tom, Jeff, Maura, Samantha, Jenny, Robby, Timothy, Cassandra and Will.  He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, Colin, Taegan, Riley, Seamus, Liam, Ryland and a new baby arriving in August. Carl had three sisters, Carole Devlin, Charlene Boyle, Claudette Ledoux, and a brother, Paul Kasierski.

Carl was born on April 27, 1935 to the late Carl and Irene Kasierski in Webster.

Retiring from the New England Telephone Company after 35 years, he and Ann enjoyed traveling. One of Carl’s greatest joys was his daily “Walk with Ann.” When they weren’t travelling, he was teaching his grandchildren how to swim; loving to show off with his signature backflip, spending time in his beautiful garden where he could grow anything and always available for any project that his children needed help with.

He showered his family with love and gave them the gift of family. He taught them how important it is to have each other and was happiest when they were all together. Carl had a strong faith and brought his faith to his family and all who knew him. He will missed by many.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Beaumont Nursing Home in Westborough.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 24, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 18 E. Main St., Webster. There are no calling hours. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. Northborough is assisting with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
