Hudson – Marguerite A. “Peggy” (Cheney) Jenkins, 85, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 of natural causes. She was born in Marlborough, the daughter of Vincent R. and Hazel (Sleep) Cheney, and was a lifelong resident of Hudson. Her husband of 31 years, James M. Jenkins, passed away in 1981.

She leaves five children, Bradley A. Jenkins and his husband Lynn Bearden of Bono, Arkansas, James V. Jenkins and his partner Cynthia Hunter of Worcester, Susan R. Jenkins and her life partner Brian Provencher of Boylston, Frank R. Jenkins available of Owls Head, Maine, and Paul B. Jenkins and his wife, Lucy of Milford; seven grandchildren, James Jenkins, Dianna Lariviere, Kerri Jenkins, Frank Jenkins, Alan Beard, Olivia Jenkins, and Andrea Patrick; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Vincent Cheney.

She worked at Marlborough Hospital and at Orthopedic Surgeons Associates Marlborough for 40 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, VFW Women’s Auxiliary, AmVets Women’s Auxiliary, Eagles Women’s Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 13, from 5-8 p.m., in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Funeral services for Marguerite will be held Friday, April 14, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home, followed by a committal service at Forestvale Cemetery.
