De Thi Tran, 98, of Hudson and Worcester

Hudson/Worcester – De Thi Tran, 98, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family Monday, April 10, 2017 after an illness. She was born in Nghe An, Vietnam, the daughter of Don Tran and Khang Vu, and immigrated to the United States in 1983 and had lived in Hudson and Worcester.

Her husband of 67 years, Dang Van Nguyen, passed away in 2014. She leaves three children, Chung Van Nguyen, Hung Van Nguyen and his partner Trang Son, and Dao Thi Nguyen and her partner Anthony Monti, all of Worcester; three grandchildren, Adam Camp, Linh Phan and her husband Josh Christianson, and Long Phan and his fiancée Rena Hu; and a great-grandson, Samuel Christianson.

De was a devoted member of Pho Hien Buddhist Meditation Temple in Worcester. She was devoted to her family, a talented seamstress, and enjoyed gardening.

Calling hours will be held Friday, April 14, 5-8 p.m., in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Funeral services for De will be held Saturday, April 15, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home, followed by a committal service at Forestvale Cemetery.
