Letter to the editor: Westborough Girl Scouts thanks the community

53

To the Editor:

The Westborough Girl Scouts would like to thank the community for their tremendous support during the annual cookie sale. Twenty four troops, 251 girls, sold 24,427 boxes.

The troop profits will be used for community service, extended trips, camping, support Bronze, Silver and Gold Award projects, badge work, and day long programs.  Girls are in kindergarten to twelfth grade.

Girls sold cookies door to door, on line with direct sales and at booth sales.  The troops would like to thank the following Westborough businesses who agreed to allow booth sale opportunities.  They are

Lowes, Stop and Shop Lyman Street, Santander Bank, Stop and Shop Turnpike Road, Roche Brothers, EL. Harvey and Sons, The Willows, The Highlands, 7-Eleven and Ace Hardware.

The Westborough Girl Scouts are very fortunate for the community support of the sale and the partnerships formed with the local businesses.
