Northborough: Memory café at Northborough Library

Northborough – The Northborough Free Library is pleased to announce a new memory café, The Apple Café, will open Wednesday, May 3, from 2-4 p.m., in the main meeting room. The café is a collaboration between the Friends of the Northborough Library, the Northborough Senior Center, and Solace RNovations, Inc.  The committee also includes local volunteers who are active in the elder care community and the Come 2 B Dementia Friendly initiative spearheaded by Kelly Burke, the Director at the Northborough Senior Center. Carol Marie DeRienzo, a resident of Northborough and the owner of Solace RNovations, Inc. (The Nurse Carpenter), will be coordinating the monthly memory café.

The Apple Café is a welcome place for individuals with memory challenges and their caregivers, family and/or friends to get together to share conversation, activities, entertainment and refreshments in a supportive and social environment. There is no cost and all are welcome. The Apple Café will be open on the first Wednesday of the month, from 2-4 p.m., at the library, 34 Main St.
