Marlborough – James Mark Leighton, 63, of Marlborough, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Born in Bridgeport, Conn., he was the son of the late Alice (Monteiro) and Leo Leighton.

James received his BS in Management from Boston University. He immediately joined Raytheon as a Contracts Administrator and worked in a number of locations, finally settling in Marlborough.

He was a devout Catholic, and was an active congregant of the Good Shepard Church at New Horizons in Marlborough. An ardent fan of all things sports, he was a passionate follower of the Patriots, Celtics, and Red Sox.

He is survived by his son, James Komarowsky, wife Jana and son Johnny of Aurora, Colo.; his siblings, Ken Leighton and his wife Jackie of Lake Grove, N.Y. and Lenore Leighton-Pollock of Sterling, Va.; nieces and nephews, Leo Pollock, Alicia Leighton, and Tonya Proffitt; and a great-nephew, Justis Fuentes. He was predeceased by his brother, Dennis Leighton.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 6, from 8:30-10 a.m., at the William R. Short Funeral Home, 95 West Main St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. at Good Shepard Center, 406 Hemenway St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough.
