Hudson – Marilyn J. (Forance) Zina, 87, lifelong resident of Hudson, died peacefully in her home Friday, May 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late John and Grace Forance. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Arthur Paul Zina Sr., and her youngest child, Robert “Bobby” Zina.
She enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod with her family and trips to New York City with her best girlfriends. She and Arthur were blessed to have wonderful friends who they shared many of life’s celebrations with. A doting grandmother, nothing pleased her more than to have a house full of children. An active member of the Hudson Emblem Club, Marilyn also took pleasure in a good game of cards and Friday afternoons with the girls.
She is survived by her children, Arthur P. Zina Jr. and his wife Janice of Winchester, David “Rocky” Zina and his wife Nancy of Hudson, and Diane Durand and her husband Gary of Bolton. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Martin of Hudson; six grandchildren, Kristin Gaynor of Bolton, Kevin Zina of Bolton, Kerri Nash of Concord, Cole Durand of Lancaster, and Robert and Liam Zina of Hudson; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John, Paul, Franny and Bob Forance, and Norma Rocha.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 9, at 9 a.m., at St. Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday, May 8, from 4-7 p.m., at the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
