Hudson – Marion E. Phaneuf passed away peacefully Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Beaumont Skilled Nursing Home in Northborough. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Arthur Phaneuf. She was the daughter of the late John E. Carter and Doritha Miller.

She was born in Marlborough and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Marion’s life was centered around raising her children, and she was known for her chocolate candies and for dressing the windows of the barber shop, owned by her husband, for all of the different holidays.

Marion loved to cook and was the proud owner of hundreds of cookbooks. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marion is survived by her children four children, Arthur and his wife Sigred, David and his wife Diane, Neil and his wife Nancy, and Mary and her husband Ernie Dilling. In addition to her children, she is survived by seven grandchildren, Crystal Byron, Jessica Westerberg and her husband Leo, Abbe Sousa, Joel Phaneuf, Craig Collins, Kristyn Sousa, and Mikko Phaneuf. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Owen Byron, Julian Westerberg, Terrel Leake, Derek Jr Nunnally, Aden Nunnally, Zachary and Tyler Phanuef, Madelyn and Aubrey Collins, and Britney and Nadine. She was predeceased by her son, Paul.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 10, from 4-7 p.m., in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 11, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson.
