Rita Nanartowich gets her golden retriever mix, Maxine, blessed by the Rev. Rosanne Roberts.

Hudson – The Rev. Rosanne Roberts, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Hudson, offered a prayer with pet owners before blessing their animals May 7 at Wood Park. Attendees could also bring a photograph of their pet. While animal blessings have previously taken place at various locations of the church property on Felton Street, this was the first time that the occasion was held offsite at Wood Park.
