Shrewsbury High to perform original play ‘Nighthawks’

Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury High School (SHS) will premier “Nighthawks,” an original play based on the works of American realist Edward Hopper, Friday, May 19, at 6 p.m. in the SHS auditorium, 64 Holden St. Hopper’s beloved paintings come to life in this dark comedy thanks to a great student ensemble. Written by Jared Sarnie and Shazeb Meraj, directed by Johnny Wu and Becca Zabu, “Nighthawks” is a play created and performed entirely by SHS students. Tickets are $5.
