Northborough – A talented group of Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) thespians will be performing “High School Musical” in the school’s Small Performance Theater, Wednesday, May 24 through Saturday, May 27, under the direction of Tom Alera.

Set in a high school in New Mexico, opposite worlds collide as a “brainiac” and basketball star become stars of their high school’s musical. As they encounter obstacles to perform the elaborate production, a romance simmers between the unlikely pair as they and their friends work through the drama of high school.

“This is a musical that just resonates with the students.  They all love it, and they all know it,” Alera said of his decision to produce this particular show.

“With all going on in our world, it was important to put on a production that could make us feel a bit better and maybe think of each other in a positive way,” he added. “Especially since a theme and song of the musical is ‘we’re all in this together.’”

Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased online at http://arhshighschoolmusical.bpt.me.
