Ruth Jaworek, 92, of HudsonHudson – Ruth (Berry) Jaworek, 92, of Hudson, died peacefully Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at her home, and  joined her late husband “Varge,” who died March 29, to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary.

She was born in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ontuos (Stark) Berry, and was a 1942 graduate of St. Michael’s Academy in Hudson.

Ruth was a member of “The Breakfast Club,” a group of friends who dined and traveled together. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, walking, dancing and the beach.

Ruth was an ardent supporter of her grandchildren and all of their endeavors. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was very witty. Ruthie always put others needs before her own, and donated many pieces that she made to various charitable organizations.

She was predeceased by her son, Michael, and her daughter-in-law, Pamela Jaworek, of Marlborough. She leaves three grandchildren, Lindsey Jaworek Dinneen and her husband Patrick of Marlborough, Nicholas Jaworek and his wife Renee of Marlborough, and Derek Norton of Florida; six great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Jackson, Cameron, Tyler, Casey and Jake; a brother, Joseph Berry and his wife Lorice of Norwood; the most loving nephews and nieces; and she was also the grandmother of the late David Norton.

A graveside service will be held Monday, May 22, at 11 a.m., in Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson. Calling hours were held Sunday, May 21 in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home of Marlborough.
