Richard P. Boule, 75, of MarlboroughMarlborough – Richard P. Boule, 75, of Marlborough, died suddenly Thursday, May 18, 2017. Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Paul and Shirley (McGuire) Boule.

A graduate of Marlborough High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force during peacetime.

Dick had been employed for many years as an insurance agent for Downey Insurance Company in Marlborough.

He had been an active member of the Nobscot Sail and Power Squadron in Natick for many years and loved sailing as well as building model ships. He was owner of the former Thrust Marine Company in Marlborough. Well known in Marlborough, he had been a radio announcer at the former WSRO radio station, and was known to always have a joke to tell.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Margaret Benjamin of Marlborough; his daughters, Lisa Hogenson of St. Cloud, Minn. and Renee Parks and her husband Keith of Glenburn, N.D.; his brother, Ronald H. Boule and his companion Mary Croteau of Hampton, N.H.; his sisters, Anne S. Harpin and her husband Paul V. of Marlborough, Paula L. Lohler of Oxford, Mary E. Mainella and her husband Frank of E. Providence, R.I., as well as his sister-in-law, Evangeline Boule of Hudson, and many nieces and nephews. He was most happy to be a grandfather to his three granddaughters, one grandson, and one great-grandson. He was also the brother of the late James Boule.

There are no funeral home visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 27, at 10 a.m., at St. Bernadette Church, 266 Main St., Northborough. Burial will be held Tuesday, May 30, at 11:15 a.m., at the National Cemetery of Bourne.
