Youngsters enjoy basketball camp

Northborough – Young basketball players have enjoyed working on their skills at a camp hosted by the Northborough Recreation Department this summer at the Robert E. Melican Middle School this summer.

Shrewsbury – The Sheriff’s annual Senior Picnic, sponsored by Worcester County Sheriff Lewis G. Evangelidis and the Worcester County Reserve Deputy Sheriff’s Association, will be held Saturday, Aug. 19, at SAC Park, 348 Lake St., Shrewsbury, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Marlborough seniors learn the risks and impacts of the opioid crisis

Marlborough – Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan gave an informative and enlightening presentation on the risks of opioids at the Marlborough Council on Aging at the Senior Center, July 11. Also at the meeting were State Representative Danielle Gregoire (D-Marlborough), Mayor Arthur Vigeant and Chief of Police David Giorgi, who spoke about the importance of educating ourselves on this important topic.

Shrewsbury Fire and Police Relief Association golf tournament to benefit fallen heroes

Thank you for aid and support after house fire

HPS runs three-week Portuguese language learning camp

Hudson – Thirty Hudson students spent the first three weeks of their summer this year learning Portuguese in an intensive foreign language immersion camp. The camp, which cost roughly $60,000 to run, was funded entirely by the National Security Agency (NSA).
