It will be ‘Grande’

Cartoon by Ed Turner

Westborough – The culmination of Westborough’s 300th anniversary year will be a “Grande Parade” on Sunday, Sept. 10 beginning at 1 p.m. Grand marshals for the much anticipated event will be two very familiar and well-respected women– Lydia Goldblatt and Kristine Allen. Both have served on numerous town boards, including years on the Board of Selectmen, and both have given much of their time over the years volunteering with nonprofit organizations in the town.

More than 130 entries consisting of floats, marchers, and bands are expected to participate in the parade which will begin at Ward’s Corner and end at the corner of Lyman Street and the Hastings Elementary School.

For more information on the parade and a map of the route it will follow visit www.westborough300.com/events.
