Region – The Fore Kicks Sports Complex was the host site for the 2017 Massachusetts Senior Olympic Games for Pickleball held Aug. 18–20. Athletes from all over New England ages 40 to 87 participated in the games.

The Ward Park Pickleball organization had a strong showing by compiling a total of 12 gold and seven silver medals. One of the main goals of the Ward Park Pickleball organization is to give back to the community. They raised funds through an internal tournament and raffle in early August with all proceeds being donated to the Feed My Starving Children charity. They also donated scholarships to Marlborough families to send children to summer camp.
