Southborough – Avery Barnes and Raiya Sehgal-Sealey from Girl Scout Troop 72780 of Southborough have earned their Silver Award. The Silver Award is the second highest award of the Girl Scouts of America, and the highest award that a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. Avery and Raiya raised the awareness within the community of homeless cats and dogs. They also conducted a drive for donation of items related to their cause such as pet food, treats, detergent, towels and blankets. The items were then donated to the Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton.
