Northborough – The Northborough Free Library, 34 Main St., will host an exhibition of posters featuring the peace dove during the month of October. These posters were created by various artists, for various organizations, in several countries, over the last 60 years. Many of the organizations no longer exist, but their message lingers on in these posters. These posters have captured some of the history from these different places. While the styles and themes are very diverse, they also show the breadth of the desire of people from around the world to live in peace.

The “Peace Dove” exhibit comes from a collection of Stephen Lewis and will be held from Tuesday, Oct. 3, to Saturday, Oct. 28. Lewis has been staging exhibits in public libraries around Massachusetts for the past 15 years. Also during the month of October, he will have a poster exhibits at the Ashland Public Library with posters from the anti-Apartheid struggle. Lewis has amassed a collection of 6,800 posters. He can be reached at [email protected].

For hours and information, call the library at 508-393-5025.
