Permatteo wins world championship roller skating event

Northborough – Gabriella Permatteo recently won the title of 2017 World Champion in the Junior Ladies Figure event held during the 2017 World Roller Games. The games were held Aug. 31 in Nanjing, China.

Gabriella, a Northborough resident, has been a competitive artistic roller skater since the age of 6.  This is the third year in a row that she has made the U.S World Team under USA Roller Sports.  The discipline that she competes in, Junior World Class Ladies Figure event, requires skaters to trace a six meter circle while completing various turns.
