Region – Local officials and members of the business community joined Avidia Bank’s management team Sept. 27 to celebrate the grand opening of the bank’s newest location at 270 Cochituate Road in Framingham.

The one-of-a-kind facility will contain a unique digital experience as well as a team of expert bank representatives from the consumer, investment and commercial groups to serve the banking needs in Framingham, officials said. The new building features light colors and modern materials, including insulated metal panels and glass. It is located next to the post office on Route 30, close to Shoppers World.

Officials at the ribbon cutting noted that the construction of the new facility had had some ups and downs as it went through the process. But that was all worth it, they agreed, adding that Avidia was a welcome addition to Framingham.

Mark O’Connell, president & CEO of Avidia Bank, noted that representatives of other local banks were in attendance as well and thanked them for their graciousness in welcoming Avidia to the community.

Guests enjoyed a luncheon provided by Big T’s Jerky and BBQ, a Sterling-based business.
