Paul M. Ouellette, 59, of Hudson

Hudson – Paul M. Ouellette, 59, of Hudson, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at his home, with his beloved sister by his side, after a period of declining health.

Paul leaves behind his sister, Denise L. Ouellette of New York, N.Y.; several cousins locally; and many family members abroad in Japan. He was predeceased by his parents, Ronald J. and Chizuko (Ogawa) Ouellette.

Paul was born in Yokohama, Japan, and eventually came to Hudson at the age of 10 after living briefly in New York, N.Y. and Lynn. Paul attended school and graduated in Hudson, and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Bentley College.

After college, Paul worked with his father to run Arrow Moccasin Co., a family business that has been around for over 50 years, and whose products were sold all over the world. Paul was a skilled and talented leather craftsman, and he took great care in continuing his family’s tradition of producing the finest moccasins around.

Paul enjoyed going to different places to find and collect minerals, and he practiced the Wiccan belief, as well. He had a passion for music and he was a gifted guitar player and vocalist. Paul enjoyed traveling and he especially loved the time he spent visiting with his sister in Hawaii.

Friends and relatives are invited to gather and share memories of Paul Tuesday Oct.10, from 4-7 p.m., at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson. Burial will be private at a later time.
