Hudson – Elizabeth “Betty” May Prendergast, 85 of Hudson, previously of Sudbury, passed away Saturday, Oct. 7 2017 at home after a period of declining health.
She was the daughter of Evelyn May Riley of St Croix, Nova Scotia, Canada and West Bridgewater and Charles Davis Fay of Edna, Texas. Born Nov. 17, 1931 in Newark, N.J., she was the widow of William J Prendergast Jr., to whom she was married 63 years.
She was the devoted mother of Karren Brunetti and her husband Joseph of Douglas and her son, Ron Prendergast and his wife Anmarie of Hudson. She also leaves her dearest cousin and friend, Shirley (Shaw) Padden of Stoughton, as well as Nancy Prendergast of Hudson, widow of her son, William J Prendergast. She also leaves her grandchildren, Joanna Eliz (Brunetti) Belanger, Matthew A Brunetti, Heather Eliz (Prendergast) Braga, Jessica A (Prendergast) Mendez, Jonathan P Prendergast, Courtney D Prendergast, Brittany L Prendergast, and 10 great-grandchildren, Sadie, Londyn and Greyson Mendez, Jaeden and Dominic Braga, Ashlee Thompson, Michael Espinal, Leland Morris, and Karlie and Jenna Prendergast.
Burial will be the New North Cemetery in Sudbury.
