Sunday, Oct. 15, at the DCR Quinsigamond State Park, Worcester
Shrewsbury – When Mary Beth Benison, a resident of Northborough, passed away two years ago at age 53, her obituary noted that “her 16-year battle with at least four diseases, including a brain tumor, breast cancer, Mesothelioma, and finally Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, did not diminish her positive outlook for her world, family or friends.”
This Sunday, Oct. 15, Central One Federal Credit Union is proud to sponsor the 2nd Mary Beth Benison (MBB) Foundation 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run.
Mary Beth was a Central One member and was well known in the community as the owner of CocoBeni Confections in Northborough. The foundation aims to help people with ALS and other serious illnesses, and continue Mary Beth’s legacy of kindness, love and compassion.
The Road Race (and post-race party) will be held Oct. 15 starting at 10 a.m., at the DCR Quinsigamond State Park, 284 Lake Ave., Worcester. To register for the race or for more information about the event, visit https://racewire.com/register.php?id=8154
