Rally against sale of assault weapons to be held in Northborough

Northborough – A rally will be held Sat., Oct. 14 by citizens who are urging support for  “upholding Massachusetts’ law prohibiting sale of assault weapons.”

The rally will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Main Street, next to the site of future Northborough Town Commons, located at the grassy area next to the Civil War memorial.

Organizers said the “our goal is to speak out against the proliferation of assault weapons used in almost-daily massacres in this country. We invite like-minded individuals to join us for this peaceful, bipartisan gathering. Signs and slogans are welcome.”

Parking is available at the lot for Assabet Park on 20 Gale St., Town Hall, and at the public parking area on Blake Street.
