Symphony Pro Musica celebrates 25 years
Region - Symphony Pro Musica will close its 25th anniversary season with a celebratory concert weekend, with performances in Hudson and Westborough. The Gala Concerts will take place Saturday May 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Hudson High School and Sunday May 11 at 3:30 p.m. at Westborough High School.

The Gala Concerts will feature the premiere of "Rhapsody," commissioned by the orchestra from Westborough composer Michael Schachter, and a sparkling rendition of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. Joining the orchestra for the Beethoven piece are the New World Chorale under the direction of Holly Mac- Ewan Krafka and four wellknown soloists and audience favorites from past seasons: soprano Jane Shivick, mezzo soprano Gale Fuller, tenor Ray Bauwens and baritone Robert Honeysucker.

Through the "Music on the Menu" program, audience members can enjoy a meal at one of five area restaurants and receive a discount coupon for the concert, or they can show their tickets at the restaurant and receive a discount on the meal. Participating restaurants in Hudson are Chloe - An American Bistro, Harvest Café, and SoupHerb; in Westborough, Mulligan's Tavern and Canyon Café participate in the program.

Tickets are available for advance purchase by calling 978-562-0939; prices are $18 each and $16 for senior citizens; students high school age and younger are admitted free of charge. Tickets will also be available at the door.
