Friends of Grafton Elders (FOGE) fundraising luncheon planned

Grafton – Celebrating its 36th anniversary, Friends of Grafton Elders’ (FOGE, pronounced fou-gee) will hold its second annual fundraising luncheon Sunday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Highfields Golf and Country Club in Grafton. This year’s event will honor Grafton resident Alice Miller.

Westborough Senior Center Supporters to host Oct. 20 event

Westborough – The Westborough Senior Center Supporters (WSCS) will be holding a baked stuffed chicken dinner at the center’s 4 Rogers Rd. location, Friday, Oct. 20 at 5:30 p.m. The entertainment will be a presentation by Par Perry on the “History of the Oldest Profession”.

Horribles Parade and Scarecrow Contest Oct. 26

Marlborough – The 2017 City of Marlborough Horribles Parade will be held Thursday, Oct. 26, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Mayor Arthur Vigeant’s Office and Main Street business owners invite young children from Marlborough to trick or treat along Main Street and enjoy candy and refreshments.

Holocaust survivor to speak at Beth Tikvah Synagogue Oct. 22

Westborough – Holocaust survivor and Worcester resident Thea Aschkenase will speak Sunday, Oct. 22, at 9:30 p.m. at Beth Tikvah Synagogue, 45 Oak St., Westborough. She will share the story of her survival and her life after the Holocaust.

Westborough Cub Scouts deliver Halloween to your door

Westborough – Westborough Cub Scout Pack 100 is offering to deliver Halloween candy to Westborough residences or businesses. To benefit the pack and save time on Halloween, the Scouts will deliver 40 Hebert assorted chocolate bars.

Cemetery tour in Westborough Oct. 28

Westborough – The Westborough Historical Society will hold a Memorial Cemetery Tour, “Death Heads and Angels,” Saturday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. Presenter Leslie M. Leslie will lead the tour of Westborough’s oldest cemetery and speak about the community’s first settlers and the stories told by the early Puritan gravestone symbols.
