City of Marlborough in Massachusetts
Marlborough was incorporated in 1660. It is approximately 22.2 square miles and as of 2010, had a population of 38,499. It is part of Middlesex County and its form of government is City Council. Marlborough’s administration is comprised of a Mayor and City Council. For many years, Marlborough was a major center of the shoe manufacturing industry. It is located near Routes 20, 290 and 495 and the Massachusetts Turnpike, which makes it a convenient location for modern day, high tech businesses. It is also home to the New England Sports Center, a facility that boasts seven indoor ice rinks.
