Transition Ashland will hold its first official meeting Sept. 27, at 6:30 p.m., at the Ashland Library Community Room, 66 Front St. Participants will begin to identify town challenges, prioritize them and decide if/how the Transition model can help resolve them. The public is invited to attend. The meeting will ask: Can we tackle large issues, such as access to clean drinking water or fix the train crossing downtown, with a Transition approach? Are there times when Transition will not work well? The participants will learn as they go and work out solutions together. For more information on Transition Ashland, call 781-561-5854 or email info@transitionashland.org.
