July 6, the Ashland Farmers’ Market will hold an Indian Cultural Day. Young musicians, singers and dancers will perform classical Indian music and dance at the music stage; kids can have their names written in Sanskrit and get a henna tattoo at the Kid’s Corner; Dr. Kumar Nochur of Ashland’s Sri Lakshmi Hindu Temple will share details of the history and cultural activities of the Temple at the Community Tent; and Chef Renita Mendonca of Seasoned and Spiced will offer tastings of delicious Indian cuisine. Flats Mentor Farm is back again this year with hard-to-find Asian vegetables. Ashland Farmers Market is a fun, family destination each Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct. 19 at 125 Front St. on the grass diagonally across from the Ashland Library.
