July 13, visitors to the Ashland Farmers’ Market can watch Chef Charlie Jacobs of Warren Conference Center cook up a riot of carrot combos; be screened for vision, blood pressure, glaucoma, hearing and macular degeneration at the free Lions’ Eyemobile; visit giant angora rabbits from Evergreen Rabbit Farm; and listen to carrot poetry, spoken word and music from the Stony Hollow Stringdusters. AFM is held Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Oct. 19 at 125 Front St., on the grass diagonally across from the Ashland Public Library.
