Boston: 2012 Winter Walk to End Homelessness« Back to Events
On a typical winter day in New England, someone who is homeless spends his or her day facing sleet, snow and whipping wind in search of warmth. Homelessness is a growing problem in Massachusetts that affects more than 16,000 residents, including 6,000 Bostonians. Hearth and HomeStart, two leading nonprofit organizations in Greater Boston that work to end homelessness and provide permanent and affordable housing, are coming together to raise awareness and funds through the Winter Walk, set to take place Dec. 2, at 1 p.m., at the Boston Common.
