Boylston: Bonsai Weekend at Tower Hill Botanic Garden

June 22, 2013 - June 23, 2013

| $12

Bonsai-the art of training trees to grow in miniature-will be the focus of a weekend-long exhibit June 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and June 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Tower Hill Botanic Garden, 11 French Dr., Boylston, presented by the Bonsai Societies of New England. Many beautiful bonsai specimens-several more than 50 years old-will be on display. The amazing trees have all the characteristics of their normal sized counterparts: large, twisted trunks, changing leaves, exfoliating bark–but scaled down to table-top size.? Bonsai Weekend is included with admission to Tower Hill: $12 adults, $9 seniors, $7 youth aged 6 – 18, and free for children under 6 and Tower Hill members. WOO Card holders gain $2 off admission. For more information, call 508-869-6111 or visit www.towerhillbg.org.
