Boylston: Vegetable Garden tour at Tower Hill

August 14, 2013

As more people are discovering the health and nutritional benefits of growing their own fruits and vegetables, Tower Hill Botanic Garden's Vegetable Garden serves as an inspiration for beauty, productivity, and sustainability. Dawn Davies, Tower Hill horticulturist, plants the garden with a different theme each year. This year's theme is “Cultivating Taste,” which explores the many factors that contribute to and enhance flavor in vegetables. Davies will lead guided tours of the Vegetable Garden Aug. 14, at 5 p.m., and Aug. 25, at 2 p.m. Tours are included with regular admission (free for members and children under 6, $12 adult nonmembers, $9 seniors, and $7 youth ages 6 – 18) to Tower Hill, 11 French Dr., Boylston. Call 508-869-6111 or visit www.towerhillbg.org to find out more.
