Groveland: Art of Icon Painting workshop begins

Russian icon maker, teacher and lecturer Marina Forbes, will offer a unique, four-session “The Art of Icon Painting” workshop Oct. 7, 14, 21, and Nov. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Nichols Village, 54 Main St., Groveland. It is a hands-on studio workshop for students interested in learning how to create traditional Russian icons, one of the world’s oldest and most respected forms of religious art.
