Hudson: Raising Heritage Chickens in Your Backyard program

May 13, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Raising Heritage Chickens in Your Backyard will be presented at Hudson Public Library, 3 Washington St., Hudson. Discover how to raise and maintain these hardy and productive birds, right in your backyard. The Valentines, whose farm is in Mont Vernon, will cover an array of topics, including a brief history of heritage chickens, general husbandry, coop building and designs, biosecurity and disease control, predator control, chick hatching and raising, and how to order these amazing rare and endangered breeds.
