Hudson: Saint Luke's continues Health & Wellness series

October 24, 2013

| $5.

Oct. 24, from 7 – 9 p.m., “Inflammation: The Enemy Within” will be presented at Saint Luke's Church in Hudson, as part of its Health & Wellness series. Not only will the causes of inflammation be explored, but solutions will be offered as well.

Kept in check, inflammation is beneficial to the body for both healing and immunity.? But, in most Americans, inflammation is out of control and is silently destroying healthy tissues rather than protecting them. In fact, inflammation is the root cause of almost all chronic diseases including heart disease.

Why is inflammation so rampant in today's society?? There are many reasons but the most significant one is the Standard American Diet (SAD). With every bite of food we eat, we’re making a choice to either support and maintain our good health, or contribute to the disease process in our bodies. What's on the end of your fork? Is it causing an inflammatory reaction in your body or helping you create optimal, vibrant health?

If you experience stress, are carrying excess weight, have low energy, or are dealing with health challenges of any kind, then you won’t want to miss this interactive workshop!

The event is open to the public, but pre-registration is necessary. Admission is $5, and includes workshop and refreshments. All proceeds help fund the accessible ramp entrance project at Saint Luke's Church.

To reserve seats, contact June Miller at 978-838-0044 or jwmiller271@charter.net, or Paulette Naves at 508-612-4101 or dakotaskye7@hotmail.com. Saint Luke's is located at 5 Washington St., Hudson.
