Hudson: ‘The Last of the Donkey Pilgrims’ presentation

March 9, from 2 to 3 p.m., join Kevin O’Hara as he presents “The Last of the Donkey Pilgrims” at Hudson Public Library, 3 Washington St. In 1979, despite being married to a lovely woman – Belita Suarez of the Philippines – Kevin cautiously asked her one evening if he could take a walk, “a long walk, no longer than a year in length.” Amazingly, Belita didn’t give him the boot – but the green light – and a grateful Kevin journeyed to Ireland, bought himself a young mare donkey named Missie, and the toothsome pair beat all odds by traversing 1,720 miles of the Irish coast, North and South, in eight months’ time.
