Hudson/Stow: SVT sponsors foliage paddle

Sudbury Valley Trustees will hold an Assabet River fall foliage paddle Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet at the Cox Street Bridge in Hudson, then paddle round-trip to the Gleasondale Dam in Stow, just upstream of the Stow village of Gleasondale, for a total of 3.6 miles. As the river crosses the town border into Stow, it winds around Orchard Hill, a treeless drumlin creating a striking meadow landscape. Bring your binoculars, as the birdlife is plentiful along this quiet stretch of the river. Registration required. Free for SVT members and $10 for non-members.
