Nov. 26, starting at 12:45 p.m. at the Marlborough Senior Center, 250 Main St., an Alzheimer’s Awareness Day will be held. This is a free program for the community. Julie McMurray, Director of the Central Regional Office, Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH, will present The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging. This program provides information about the disease and related dementias, the benefits of early detection, causes and risk factors, treatment and services offered by Alzheimer’s Association. Lunch will be provided. Following lunch, memory screenings will be offered from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in 15-minute increments. All memory screens will be held in confidence.
