Marlborough: Annual ride for scholarships honors local musician

Marlborough – The seventh annual Citizen's Scholarship Foundation (CSF) Motorcycle Ride will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Moose Family Center, 67 Fitchburg St. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 15. Kickstands up at 11 a.m.

This year's ride is held in memory of James S. “Scott” Ricciuti, a musician from Marlborough who was killed in an automobile crash in April 2012.

Pre-registration is $20 per rider; $10 per passenger. The price includes the ride, music, and food. On the day of the event, registration is $25 per rider; $10 per passenger. Pre-registration must be postmarked by Sept.7. At 12:30 p.m., the event will open to the public for $10 per person for music and food.

Send all pre-registrations to: Deb Giroux, 230 Evelina Drive, Marlborough, MA 01752. Checks should be made payable to CSF of Marlborough – Memo should be “motorcycle ride.”

There will be a general raffle for gift baskets, gift certificates and more, as well as a 50/50 raffle.

CSF of Marlborough, Inc., is a chapter of “Dollars for Scholars,” an organization dedicated to expanding access to post-secondary educational opportunities by providing financial assistance to Marlborough residents wishing to further their education.
