Marlborough: Assabet Valley Mastersingers present “Messiah Sing”

Sunday, Dec. 15, at 3:30 p.m., a “Messiah Sing” will be presented by the Assabet Valley Mastersingers. The Christmas portion of Handel's oratorio, in addition to the “Hallelujah Chorus,” will be sung at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough.

Those in attendance will be invited to join with members of the chorus, sitting in sections according to voice part. Generally, all participants greatly enjoy this beloved tradition of the Christmas season. Organist Brett Maguire will provide accompaniment, and vocal soloists will be soprano Dana Schnitzer, mezzo Caitlin Felsman, tenor Christopher Hutchinson, and baritone Mark Morgan.? Robert P. Eaton, Artistic Director of the Assabet Valley Mastersingers, will direct the ensemble.

Some scores are available to share, although participants are urged to bring their own, if possible. Those who would prefer to listen only are also welcome.
