Question No. 2 on the November 2 ballot will regard whether or not to legalize Physician Assisted Suicide in Massachusetts. It is not a “fun” subject, but with people living much longer lives we have to consider the disease and infirmity that comes along with that, as well as the difficult questions the advance in medicine is forcing us to face. An assisted suicide panel and discussion will be held Oct. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m., in the Parish Hall at First Church in Marlborough, 37 High St., Marlborough. A group of panelists supporting and opposing the measure, as well as hospice, palliative, and medical care professionals will give short presentations about the subject and open the floor to any questions. Tea and coffee will be available for purchase, as well as health care proxy and advance directive forms. All are invited to come to learn about this very important and difficult issue. For more information, call First Church in Marlborough 508-485-6297.
