The Marlborough Public Library, 35 West Main St., has a special genealogy event planned for the month of October in addition to their regular Thursday Night Lights! weekly technology workshops. For those interested in researching their family history, Getting into Genealogy will be presented Oct. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the library’s Bigelow Auditorium. Patricia M. Stano-Carpenter, President of the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, will lead this introductory workshop. A tour of the Marlborough Public Library’s genealogy resources will follow and provide you with the information you need to get started. This workshop is free and open to the public.
