Marlborough: Green Marlborough Hike

July 2, 2011

| Free

Enjoy walking the trails of Marlborough in the company of a guided group the first Saturday of each month. Next walk: July 2, at 9 a.m., at Callahan State Park, a diverse natural habitat that includes a rocky hilltop, wooded trails, a pond and open fields. Note:: Some of the trails are rugged and the hike is close to 3 miles long. Dress for the weather and trail conditions. Wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring a hiking stick if you need one. The trip leader is Rick Boudrie. Directions from Route 20: Go to Farm Road. Near Trombetta's, take Broad Meadow Road. On Broad Meadow Road, go straight about 1/3 mile, passing Wayside Club on the left and continuing onto the gravel road. The trailhead and parking lot is on the left.
