Marlborough ID theft prevention program

An identity theft prevention program will be held Nov. 8, starting at 2 p.m., at the Marlborough Senior center, 250 Main St. Identity theft is a widespread crime that occurs when someone uses an individual's personal identification information without permission. ?Credentialed speakers for this program include: Shawna Avery CFE, Senior Banking Examiner of Massachusetts Divisions of Banks and Bruce A. Dean, JD, CFE, CFP, and retired Assistant District Attorney of Suffolk County and its Chief of Special Prosecution Unit and both members of the Assoc. of Certified Fraud Examiners out of the Boston Chapter, as well as Detective Scott Deciero with the Marlborough Police Department.
